Office of the State Controller Releases March Financial Report

For Fiscal Year 2024, when compared to the prior year through March 31, North Carolina experienced an increase in General Fund receipts which include tax and non-tax receipts.

For Fiscal Year 2024, when compared to the prior year through March 31, North Carolina experienced an increase in General Fund receipts which include tax and non-tax receipts. Tax revenues increased by $168.2 million or 0.74 percent, and non-tax revenues increased by $266.0 million, or 31.76 percent as compared to the previous year.

The General Fund’s unreserved fund balance as of March 2024 was $3.1 billion as compared to $2.7 billion as of March 2023.
