Security Roles

At the Office of the State Controller Training Center, we develop "Guardians of North Carolina's data." Therefore, we take security and security roles very seriously.

Security roles define:

  • What activities users have access to perform in SAP.
  • The data users have authority to create and view based on your organization, agency and level.
  • The training courses users must take.

Security roles for the State of North Carolina regarding the Integrated HR-Payroll System are as follows:


Obtaining Security Role(s)

A Security Request must be submitted by the Agency's Data Owner to create/change roles assigned to an employee's position.  The required training classes must be completed before the position gains security access to the requested role.
