Office of the State Controller Releases June 2020 Financial Report

For Fiscal Year 2020, when compared to the prior year through June 30, North Carolina experienced a decrease in General Fund receipts which include tax and non-tax receipts.  Tax revenues decreased by $841.0 million or 3.5 percent, and non-tax revenues decreased by $46.3 million, or 4.7 percent as compared to the previous year.

The General Fund’s unreserved fund balance as of June 2020 was $1.471 billion as compared to $1.709 billion as of June 2019.
