Office of the State Controller Releases October 2021 Financial Report

For Fiscal Year 2022, when compared to the prior year through October 31, North Carolina experienced an increase in General Fund receipts which includes tax and non-tax receipts. Tax revenues increased by $430.1 million or 4.7 percent, and non-tax revenues increased by $9.6 million, or 3.7 percent as compared to the previous year.

The General Fund’s unreserved fund balance as of October 2021 was $9.1 billion as compared to $4.4 billion as of October 2020.
