E-Payments Troubleshooting

Problems and Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Where is my money?.the funds have not been deposited into my bank account.
As per the notification, the funds will be deposited within 3 business days after receipt of the notification (depending on agency funds approval and processing time at the person's bank).
2. I have received my notification, but an error has been made.  Can you stop the funds from being deposited into my account?
The notifications and the deposits are sent at virtually the same time.  Therefore, once the person has received their notification, it is too late to stop the deposit.  All errors in this regard need to be corrected by the agency that is submitting the payment.
3. What happens if incorrect bank account information is keyed on VPY screen?
All errors like these will automatically return to the Cash Compliance Section at OSC.  Someone in Cash Compliance will follow-up with the bank and agency to correct these errors.
4. If the email/fax returns to the OSC, does that prevent the money from being deposited into the bank account?
No.  Keep in mind, without the notification the person will not know what the deposit is for.  The notification helps the person reconcile their bank account; therefore, it is important that they receive the notifications as soon as possible.
