The system close of fiscal year 2000 will begin on Thursday evening, December 14. Agencies may see BC journal voucher transactions posted to their companies with an effective date of 07/01/2000 and YEAR END CLOSING ENTRY in the Description 1 field of the documents. They may also observe balances on their Friday morning reports for account/center 390000-9998. These balances will be eliminated when the final stage of the prior year close is completed Friday evening, December 15. The purge of the system's fiscal year 2000 detail transactions will be performed immediately after the fiscal year 2000 is closed, and agency personnel will not be able to view detailed GL or FC transactions online that occurred after 06/29/2000.
