The OSC technical staff corrected the insurance and current cost on fixed assets. These adjustments created transactions on the FA100-1 VALIDATION and FA200-1 AUDIT LEDGER for these changes. These fields are not used on any FA Public reports or for CAFR purposes.
Commitment Adjustments in BC (05/28/2003) OSC will be posting commitment adjustments in the Budgetary Control module for all agencies to clear up exceptions between open requisition balances and the Available Funds File (AFF) commitment balances. These entries will be processed today and tomorrow. Commitment adjustments do not post to the General Ledger and will not affect any month-end reports.
Keying May 2003 Budgetary Control Transactions into the NCAS(05/30/2003 - 06/02/2003) (05/28/2003)
All Budgetary Control (BC) documents keyed on Friday, May 30, 2003, or Monday, June 2, 2003 with an effective date in May must contain a Closed Period Adjustment (CPA) indicator of 1 to post to the General Ledger correctly. Any documents keyed on these two dates with a May effective date and a CPA indicator of zero (0) will go to the Suspended Batch Master(SBM) file during the Monday night production cycle.

Resetting your Operator ID (Cancelling a Session)

This procedure should NOT be used
by AP personnel. These users should continue to contact their agency help desk
or the OSC help desk to have a session cancelled.
NCAS users now have the ability to cancel their own
Operator IDs. Users no longer have to call their NCAS Security Administrator or
the NCAS Helpdesk to have their IDs reset. When you receive the message:
Follow the steps listed below to reset your Operator ID and the system will allow you to logon.
- Retype your password and tab to the ACTION field.
- Type SO and press ENTER. This will cancel you out of the NCAS.
- Press the PAUSE or CANCEL button to clear the screen.
- Type MSAS on the blank screen and press ENTER.
- Type in your OPERATOR ID and PASSWORD and hit the ENTER key.
- This should take you to the NCAS Main Menu screen.
