SUBJECT:	Distribution of new Decision Support System (DSS) data and report files

An Office of the State Controller (OSC) News Flash dated 07/09/2001, and OSC Memo No. FSD-010026, dated 5/18/2001, discussed the distribution to agencies of DSS data (*.mdc) files produced by a new process, and also the distribution of new versions of the standard report (*.ppr) files.  The distribution of these files is currently scheduled for the night of Thursday, August 2, 2001.  If there is any alteration to this schedule, the OSC will send a notification of the adjusted implementation schedule as soon as possible.

Please do not use the DSS from 3PM on Thursday, August 2, until 9 AM Friday, August 3.

As mentioned previously, no software upgrade or additional training for current DSS users is needed.
