New Retirement Percentages Reversals after Stop Order Date |
Please note the changes listed below:
DIRECT DEPOSIT:
Please note that this month we have provided you with two direct deposit notification forms. The green notice of deposit form is the form that we normally provide to the employee. The information shown on this form is actually what was sent to the employee's bank account. The new 8 ½ "X 11"notice of deposit form will replace the green form in November. The 8 ½" X 11" provides the same information as on the green form; plus additional payroll information. We request that the new notice of deposit form be given to the employee at the same time as the green one. Please ask your employees to compare the two.
RETIREMENT PERCENTAGE CHANGE
There have been two retirement percentage changes for this fiscal year. Notification concerning the first change was received after July1, 2001 and was therefore inserted into the payroll system after the second C&R payroll cycle in July. The effective date was July 01, 2001. The second change occurred when the Budget was passed. These changes were inserted into the payroll system after the second C&R cycle in October. The effective date for the second change was also July 1, 2001.

MATCHING RETIREMENT ADJUSTMENTS
Due to the insertion of the matching percentage rates in the middle of July and October, adjustments should be made through the Central Payroll Office. Any adjustment checks received by the retirement system will be returned to your agency, so that the adjustments can flow through our office. Our office is currently working on this and will provide your agency with the wages subject for the July -October adjustment.
REVERSALS AFTER STOP ORDER DATE
In some situations involving an employee's deposit of their net pay, we were able to reverse a direct deposit after the Stop order deadline, as provided on your time schedule. This process required special documentation from the agency involved. Due to complications with the banking institutions involved with this process, we will no longer make reversals after the stop order deadline.
