| SUBJECT: | New Payroll Checks |
Effective with the February MONTHLY PAYROLL RUN, we will begin producing new laser checks for the payroll system. The checks will be the same size as those checks currently being produced for the NCAS Agencies accounts payable transactions. The checks will fit into the same standard #10 window envelope used for the NCAS laser printed accounts payable checks. We recommend using security or brown window envelopes for checks being mailed.
Your agency should immediately contact your envelope supply source for the new envelope sizes, based on the attached sample.
Please find enclosed a sample print copy of the actual payroll check, which has been voided. We are using “001” as the unit number for all sample checks. The name and social security number appearing on this document are fictitious. After your agency has obtained a suitable window envelope for the new check, please shred the voided sample.
