At different times, you may want to make changes to or delete a requisition. You can change or delete just the comments or requisition lines, or you can delete the entire requisition. The steps for completing these procedures are as follows.
Changing Requisitions - A requisition can be changed at any time before it is approved. It can also be changed if it is rejected at any point during the approval process. After any part of the requisition is changed, however, the requisition must be resubmitted for approval.
You do not have to follow a set order of steps to change a requisition. For example, you can change the lines before you change the comments or vice versa.
Deleting Requisitions - To delete a requisition after it has been converted into a purchase order, the requester must contact the buyer and ask him or her to delete the split for the requisition lines.
Deleting a requisition requires completing three steps in the following order.
2. Deleting the lines
3. Deleting the header
Note: You must
know the number of the requisition that you are preparing to delete. Refer
to instructions for Viewing
Existing Requisitions in this handbook.
