Once the pick list is generated, warehouse staff is ready to gather—or pick—inventory. Pick lists are designed to fit on letter-sized paper so that they can be attached to clipboards and can guide warehouse staff as they gather items to fill an order. Warehouse staff should record the quantities of items physically picked in the appropriate blanks on the pick list so that those quantities can be recorded in the NCAS correctly. The picked items should also be moved to the appropriate staging area from which they will be shipped to the customer.
