As soon as an order has been released and allocated, either real-time or during production, the warehouse’s released requirements quantity and allocated quantity also increase by the quantity ordered. Simultaneously, the available quantity and the available-to-release quantity decrease by the quantity ordered.
For example, once the snack
bar’s order for nine chocolate bars is released and allocated in the NCAS,
the warehouse’s released requirements quantity and allocated quantity will
immediately increase by nine. At the same time, the available quantity
and the available-to-release quantity at the food supply warehouse will
decrease by nine.
