As soon as an internal replenishment or usage order is entered into the NCAS, the total requirements quantity at the warehouse that is receiving the order increases by the quantity of the item ordered.
For example, the hospital
food supply warehouse has 15 chocolate bars on-hand. If the hospital snack
bar creates a usage order requesting nine chocolate bars from the food
supply warehouse, the total requirements quantity at the warehouse increases
by nine as soon as the order is entered in the system.
