Item
Information Inquiry
The Inventory module provides
warehouse managers with inquiry screens to inquire about items in the system.
Item inquiry in the Inventory module requires the item number as the key
on most screens.
Item information inquiry
screens available in the Inventory module include:
-
The Item Number and Description
Inquiry (INI) and Item Number Inquiry - II (INI2) screens display item
information previously established by the Office of the State Controller
on the Item Number Entry (INE) and Item Number Entry - II (INE2) screens.
Information displayed on these screens include the item number, item description,
unit of measure, group account code, and shelf life type.
-
The Item Warehouse Inquiry (IWI)
screen displays information and item balances for item/warehouse records
established on the Item Warehouse Entry (IWE) screen. The item number must
be entered in the first KEYS field; however, the entry of the warehouse
identifier in the second KEYS field is optional. If the warehouse identifier
is entered in the second KEYS field, the NCAS limits the display on this
screen to that specific item/warehouse record rather than all of the records
involving the item. However, if only the item number is entered in the
KEYS fields, the system browses through all of the item/warehouse combinations
as you press ENTER.
-
The Find Inventory by Item (FII)
screen displays all of the warehouse areas in which a particular item is
stored. The data on the Find Inventory by Item (FII) screen changes with
each issue, transfer, or receipt of the item. The Item Warehouse Inquiry
(IWI) screen may be accessed directly from the Find Inventory by Item (FII)
screen. Simply type IWI for the Item Warehouse Inquiry (IWI) screen
in the NEXT FUNCTION field and enter any character in the field to the
left of the item/warehouse record you want to access.
