The warehouse manager can also use the Inventory Turns by Item (TURNITEM) report to track inventory turns. Using this report, the warehouse manager can view the inventory turn rate for a specific inventory item for the most recent 12-month period. The following information for each item is also displayed on the report:

Using the Inventory Turns by Item (TURNITEM) report, the warehouse manager can determine if the item is obsolete or slow-moving. Such items should not be replenished frequently. In contrast, a fast-moving item may need to be replenished more often to avoid an out-of-stock situation.

The warehouse manager only needs to review the Inventory Turns by Item (TURNITEM) report monthly. Like the Inventory Turns by Warehouse (TURNWHSE) report, this report is only updated once a month. The Inventory Turns by Item (TURNITEM) report is located in RMDS in the report group IN286-2.
