Inquiring
on Cycle Counts
Several inquiry screens are
available to the warehouse manager to track the status of requested cycle
counts:
-
The Cycle Count List Browse
(CCLB) screen displays all requested cycle counts on the NCAS. The Cycle
Count List Browse (CCLB) screen is used to inquire about the expected completion
date and status of each requested cycle count. The ID for the employee
responsible for each cycle count is also available on the Cycle Count List
Browse (CCLB) screen. In addition, the warehouse manager can select a cycle
count request on this screen and carry it forward to another screen that
also uses the system-generated count list number as the key.
-
The Cycle Count Detail by Count
List Inquiry (CCDI) screen is used to review the status of a specific cycle
count. The Cycle Count Detail by Count List Inquiry (CCDI) screen displays
each item on the cycle count under review. If the count quantity for an
item has been posted to the system, both the system quantity and count
quantity appear on the Cycle Count Detail by Count List Inquiry (CCDI)
screen. However, if the count quantity for an item has not been posted,
zero appears as the count quantity. Recall that inventory detail records
that have been counted and posted have a status of C (complete) whereas
inventory detail records that have not been counted and posted have a status
of F (firm). The date each item was counted is also displayed on this screen.
Note: The Cycle Count
Detail by Count List Inquiry (CCDI) screen can also be accessed via the
Cycle Count List Browse (CCLB) screen. The cycle count data from the Cycle
Count List Browse (CCLB) screen is automatically transferred to the Cycle
Count Detail by Count List Inquiry (CCDI) screen.
-
The Cycle Count Detail by Item
Inquiry (CCII) screen displays all open cycle counts for a specific item.
If the count has been completed, both the system and count quantities are
displayed for each cycle count on the Cycle Count Detail by Item Inquiry
(CCII) screen. The count date and the date of the inventory snapshot for
each cycle count also appear on the Cycle Count Detail by Item Inquiry
(CCII) screen.
In addition to cycle count
information, several inventory balances for the item are displayed on the
Cycle Count Detail by Item Inquiry (CCII) screen. Specifically, the on-hand,
available, allocated, and inactive quantities of the item at all warehouse
locations are displayed. In other words, the on-hand, available, allocated,
and inactive quantities across all agencies appear.
Note: The Cycle Count
Detail by Item Inquiry (CCII) screen can also be accessed from the Item
Number Browse (INB2) screen. Enter X in the field to the left of an item
number appearing on the Item Number Browse (INB2) screen, type CCII for
the Cycle Count Detail by Item Inquiry screen in the NEXT FUNCTION field,
and press ENTER. The Cycle Count Detail by Item Inquiry (CCII) screen
will be displayed. The cycle counts for the item from the Item Number Browse
(INB2) screen will be displayed automatically.
-
The Cycle Count Access Path
Browse (CCPB) screen displays all cycle count access paths on the NCAS.
The last and next count dates for each access path appear on the screen
along with a description of the access path.
There are no required keys for
the Cycle Count Access Path Browse (CCPB) screen. However, an access path
identifier can be entered in the first KEYS field. The NCAS will begin
the display with this specified access path. In addition, an access path
can be selected from the Cycle Count Access Path Browse (CCPB) screen and
carried forward to another screen, such as the Cycle Count Close Out Request
(CCCR) screen, which also uses the access path identifier as the key.
