Inquiring
on Access Paths
Access path inquiry screens
allow warehouse managers to view information for defined access paths.
The access path inquiry screens correspond to the access path entry screens.
In addition, access path browse screens allow warehouse managers to list
information according to specified characteristics and then to select from
among this list for further inquiry.
Available access path inquiry
and browse screens include:
-
The Access Path by Warehouse
Area Inquiry (APWI) screen displays all of the access paths that involve
a specific warehouse area. To locate the access paths for a specific warehouse
area, type the warehouse identifier in the first KEYS field. A storage
area identifier can also be entered in positions eight through 12 of the
first KEYS field to further limit the search. As with many inquiry screens,
the warehouse manager can use the fields to the left of the access path
identifiers appearing on the screen to carry the access path to other screens
for further inquiry or processing.
-
The Access Path Inquiry (API)
screen provides the information about an access path that was originally
established on the Access Path Entry (APE) screen. The warehouse manager
must enter a C (cycle count path) or a P (pick path) in the first position
of the first KEYS field to identify the access path type. In addition,
the access path identifier must be entered in positions two through 10
of the first KEYS fields to locate the access path.
-
The Access Path Sequence Inquiry
(APSI) screen is used to view the sequence of warehouse areas on a specific
access path that were initially defined on the Access Path Sequence Entry
(APSE) screen.
-
The Access Path Browse (APB)
screen provides a list of all the access paths in the NCAS. The list of
access paths displayed on the Access Path Browse (APB) screen can be limited
by typing C for cycle count path or P for pick path in the
first position of the first KEYS field. To limit the list further, enter
an access path identifier in positions two through 10 of the first KEYS
field. An access path can be selected from the Access Path Browse (APB)
screen and carried to another screen, such as the Access Path Sequence
Inquiry (APSI) screen, for further inquiry.
