Inquiring
about Pick Lists
The NCAS Inventory module
allows you to inquire on the status ofa pick list. For example, if a pick
has been partially posted, you can inquire as to how much of an item still
remains to be picked. The Inventory module provides three screens to assist
with pick list inquiry:
-
The Pick List Browse (PLB) screen
displays each current pick list and its status. Pick lists appear on the
Pick List Browse (PLB) screen until they are purged. Once a pick list is
purged, it no longer appears on this screen.
Possible status values for a
pick list on the Pick List Browse (PLB) screen are:
-
4 released only; no picks have
been posted
-
5 partially completed; some
or all of the pick has been posted, but the pick list has not been closed
-
6 closed; the pick list has
been completely posted and closed
It is important to remember
that each line of a pick list has its own alphabetic status (e.g., C for
picked complete or S for picked short), whereas the entire pick list has
one numeric status (e.g., 4 for released only or 5 for partially complete).
Always pay close attention to the different status values so that you do
not confuse the status of the entire pick list with the status of a line.

The Picking Detail By Pick List
Inquiry (PDPI) screen displays all items on a specific pick list. It can
be accessed directly or via the Pick List Browse (PLB) and Picking Detail
By Item Inquiry (PDII) screens.
-
The Picking Detail By Item Inquiry
(PDII) screen shows pick information for a single item across all pick
lists. It can be accessed directly or via the Pick Detail By Pick List
Inquiry (PDPI) screen.
In addition to inquiring on
the pick list, you may need to inquire on the actual order. Refer to Internal
Replenishment for instructions on how to inquire about a specific
internal replenishment or usage order via the Usage Order Inquiry (UOI)
screen.
