Establishing Group Accounts

Warehouse and item information cannot be established in the NCAS until group accounts have been defined. In other words, group accounts must be established before inventory processing can begin in the NCAS. If group accounts have not been defined, the NCAS cannot reflect inventory activities in the general ledger. Group accounts must be defined prior to defining warehouses or items.

Group accounts are established on the Group Account Entry (GAE) screen. The keys for the GAE screen are the group type and the group account ID.
