Activity Register by Warehouse Report
The warehouse manager can
use the Error Activity Register by Warehouse (WHSEERR) report
as a balancing tool for month-to-date warehouse transactions. The report
lists the months beginning balance for each item displayed, followed by
columns showing the various inventory transactions involving the item for
the current month. Inventory transactions are recorded in the following
columns on the Error Activity Register by Warehouse (WHSEERR) report:
-
Quantity moved: displays
the quantity of inventory moved from one location to another via the Move
Inventory (MI) screen, Direct Transfer (DT) screen, or an internal replenishment
order shipments and returns
-
Quantity shipped: displays
the shipment of items ordered via a usage order. Also displays usage order
returns made via the Return Inventory by Pick List (RIP) screen.
-
Quantity received: displays
the quantity of items received from a purchase order or internal replenishment
order minus the quantity returned to vendors
-
Quantity returned: displays
the quantity of inventory returns made via the Direct Return (DR) screen
-
Quantity issued: displays
the quantity of inventory issued via the Direct Issue (DI) screen
-
Quantity adjust-: displays
inventory reductions resulting from the posting of cycle count results
or a direct adjustment made on the Deduct Inventory Adjustments (DIAU)
screen
-
Quantity adjust+: displays
positive adjustments of inventory levels resulting from the posting of
cycle count results or a direct adjustment via the Add Inventory Adjustments
(AIAU) screen
The transaction quantities that
appear in these columns are added and subtracted from the beginning item
balance to arrive at the current on-hand balance for the item at the warehouse.
This current balance is displayed in the ENDING QUANTITY column. This current
balance is compared to the current system-maintained balance for the item,
and the difference between these quantities is displayed in the DIFFERENCE
column. The item is out-of-balance when the value in the DIFFERENCE column
is anything other than zero. When an item is out-of-balance, the warehouse
manager should contact the OSC Client Support.
The data that appears on
the Error Activity Register by Warehouse (WHSEERR) report is based
on the information that appears on the Activity Register by Warehouse
(WHSEACT) report. both reports are formatted exactly the same. Every
item stocked in the selected warehouse appears on the Activity Register
by Warehouse (WHSEACT) report. However, none of the items that appear
on the Activity Register by Warehouse (WHSEACT) report have a value
greater than zero in the DIFFERENCE column. Out-of-balance items only appear
on the Error Activity Register by Warehouse (WHSEERR) report, which
is the summary report. In addition, the Error Activity by Warehouse
(WHSEERR) report only displays out-of-balance items. As a result, the
Error Activity Register by Warehouse (WHSEERR) report can be used
as a balancing tool for warehouse transactions.
The warehouse manager should
review the Error Activity Register by Warehouse (WHSEERR) report
daily. It is located in RMDS in the report group IN270-2. The Activity
Register by Warehouse (WHSEACT) report is also located in this report
group
