Warehouse managers should
use the Warehouse Area Delete (WHAD) screen to delete warehouse areas from
the NCAS. However, the warehouse manager can only delete a warehouse or
a warehouse area from the system under the following conditions:
| 1. | The system shows no record of inventory in the warehouse or warehouse area to be deleted. |
| 2. | To delete a receiving area from the system, storage areas cannot be defined online for the warehouse. |
| 3. | A staging area should only be deleted if it is not linked to any warehouse. In other words, the receiving area for the warehouse must be deleted from the NCAS before the staging area can be deleted. |
| 4. | A warehouse area included on an access path cannot be deleted. An access path is an efficient route used either for picking or for counting inventory. You will learn more about access paths later. |
