Cycle Count Request

The Cycle Count Request (RCCLR) report is also known as the count sheet. Warehouse personnel use the Cycle Count Request (RCCLR) report to record the physical quantities of the items they count.

After the NCAS processes a cycle count request entered on the Cycle Count Request (CCR) screen, the warehouse manager can print the Cycle Count Request (RCCLR) report from RMDS. One report is printed for every requested cycle count. The report indicates which items should be counted and their location in the warehouse. A Cycle Count Request (RCCLR) report printed by item lists all of the inventory detail records for the item. In contrast, a Cycle Count Request (RCCLR) report printed by access path lists all of the inventory detail records for each item in the warehouse areas on the access path. Each inventory detail record is considered an individual line on the cycle count.

When counting the items on the cycle count, the warehouse personnel enter the counted quantity in the blank space next to each inventory detail record listed on the Cycle Count Request (RCCLR) report. The on-hand quantities of the items do not appear on the Cycle Count Request (RCCLR) report, so that these figures will not influence the warehouse personnel completing the count.

The Cycle Count Request (RCCLR) report can be reviewed the morning after a cycle count request is entered on the Cycle Count Request (RCCLR) screen. At this time, the warehouse manager can print the report from RMDS. The Cycle Count Request (RCCLR) report, or count sheet, is located in RMDS in the report group IN260-5.
