The warehouse manager can use the Cycle Count Audit Report (RCCAR) to analyze discrepancies between the system on-hand and counted quantities of an item. If a large discrepancy between the system and counted quantities for an item exists, the item should be investigated. A recount of the inventory may be necessary. In addition, counts of nearby warehouse areas can be requested to attempt to locate any missing items.
The Cycle Count Audit Report (RCCAR) displays the system on-hand and counted on-hand quantities for a cycle count and any discrepancy between these quantities. The report also shows the dollar value of the discrepancies. Data from the Post Cycle Count Activity (CCAU) screen is the information source of information for the Cycle Count Audit Report (RCCAR).
The warehouse manager can review the Cycle Count Audit Report (RCCAR) after it is requested via the Cycle Count Audit Request (CCAR) screen in the Inventory module. All cycle counts that have been requested and printed are displayed on the Cycle Count Audit Request (CCAR) screen. To select one of these cycle counts to appear on the Cycle Count Audit Report (RCCAR), the warehouse manager can enter his or her requester ID beside the selected cycle count on the Cycle Count Audit Request (CCAR) screen. After the cycle count audit request is processed during nightly production, the Cycle Count Audit Report (CCAR) for the selected cycle count can be printed from RMDS. The Cycle Count Audit Report (CCAR) is located in RMDS in the report group IN260-6.
