A pick list should be closed once all the lines on the pick list are picked completely or picked short but considered complete. In other words, all the lines on the pick list must have a status of C for picked completely or S for picked short before the pick list can be closed.
A pick list is closed manually via the Pick List Close Out Request (PLC) screen.
Closed pick lists cannot remain in the NCAS indefinitely. Therefore, the system is set up to purge, or permanently remove, closed pick lists after a defined period of time. This period of time is called the purge limit. Once a pick list has been closed for the number of days defined by the purge limit, it is automatically purged from the NCAS during production.
