Process Overview
The Inventory module helps
the warehouse manager to efficiently track and control inventory activity
by:

Enabling the warehouse manager
to establish controls over inventory items, and

Providing timely information
to the warehouse manager about inventory levels
In order to use the NCAS Inventory
module to manage inventory, the warehouse manager must be able to do the
following:

Replenish externally (from vendors)

Replenish internally (from warehouses
within your agency)

The information entered in the
NCAS represents the physical transactions that occur in an agency warehouse.
In other words, the warehouse areas established in the NCAS only represent
the actual physical areas within a real agency warehouse. Additionally,
the transactions entered in the NCAS only reflect the physical movement
of goods into, out of, and within agency warehouses. The actual physical
movement of goods must be carried out according to established warehouse
policies.
