Average Cost Changes Due to AP Variances Report

The inventory accountant uses the Average Cost Changes Due to AP Variances (CVARFIX) report to analyze the calculated average costs of items due to variances between the PO price and the invoice cost. The average cost changes listed on this report are limited to changes caused by variances.

It is critical that agencies review this report daily. A variance that is recognized at the time of payment may be applied to a much smaller or larger on-hand quantity than the transaction quantity that incurred the variance, resulting in a very large change to the average cost of the remaining on-hand inventory.

The Average Cost Changes Due to AP Variances (CVARFIX) report is run daily and is located in RMDS report group IN285-2.
