Allocation Exception Report

The warehouse manager and the requester can use the Allocation Exception Report (RAEXP) to view the replenishment and usage order lines that could not be completely allocated due to a lack of inventory at the warehouse specified on the internal replenishment or usage order. The records for the item at other warehouse locations also appear on this report. The available quantity of the item in these warehouses is displayed. These records appear on the Allocation Exception Report (RAEXP) so the warehouse manager can locate the desired items elsewhere. The requesting warehouse manager can then either transfer inventory from one of these warehouses into the warehouse specified on the order or issue the item from one of these warehouses directly.

Refer to the example of the Allocation Exception Report (RAEXP) above. Item 0003537 has been ordered from warehouse 422046M. This warehouse does not have the six items necessary to fill the order. Therefore, the following message appears on the report: “Warning - not enough of requested inv in preferred whse - allocation exceeds avail inventory, cannot allocate.” Warehouse 423010M is listed below the warning message. There is an available quantity of 53 items in this warehouse. The requesting warehouse manager can either transfer the six items that are needed from warehouse 423010M or issue the item from this warehouse directly.

The warehouse manager should consult the Allocation Exception Report (RAEXP) daily. It is located in RMDS in the report group IN260-4.
