In order to pick items or to count inventory efficiently, the NCAS allows you to specify a path through the warehouse. This path is known as an access path. Two types of access paths can be established in the NCAS. A pick path manages the printing of pick lists, which allow warehouse employees to efficiently pick inventory for orders. In addition, the use of a cycle count path ensures that every warehouse area containing inventory is counted as often as necessary. A warehouse can have more than one access path. You must know how to define and maintain access paths.
