Company Overview (COA)

The Company is the first recording element in the Chart of Accounts. The North Carolina Accounting System is balanced at the company level. 

Agency Identifier

The first two positions of the Company are the agency identifier. The third position allows for further definition of the agencies financial reporting entity. These numbers are assigned by the OSC and designate the principle departments/agencies as defined by North Carolina General Statute 143A.
