Capacity Planning
for the NCAS System Growth
The OSC is constantly monitoring
the NCAS performance to avoid potential capacity problems, and has been
working closely with ITS to ensure that the NCAS growth projections are
included in the statewide capacity plan. The statewide capacity plan,
which plans three years at a time and is updated each year, represents
the capacity effects of all applications run at ITS.
The OSC prepares an annual
formal capacity plan for the NCAS. This formal plan will enable the
OSC to manage capacity problems proactively, anticipating capacity problems
earlier. The OSC has also implemented capacity planning and performance
testing recommendations that ensure that the NCAS can accommodate all statewide
financial management system needs.
