NCAS Business Requirements
and Business Overview
The NCAS is the central
financial system for the State of North Carolina. It provides control
over the State's financial operations and resources. The NCAS ensures
consistent financial information for central government authorities, as
well as accommodates unique agency business requirements. It provides
the necessary integrated financial integrity and process to direct and
record the State's business and financial activities.
The NCAS is supported by
Geac Enterprise Server functions with the exception of cash management
and payroll, which are agency developed legacy systems. The business applications
of the NCAS are shown in Figure 4.
