The BEACON HR/Payroll Program affects different people in different ways.
	Employee Self Service (ESS) ESS allows employees with access to view and update some information online from any computer terminal with Internet access. An employee can: Display or update: Address, bank account, benefits Display and print: Pay stub Update: W-4 tax form Display: Leave balances and timesheets Record time Request leave Manager Self Service (MSS) MSS allows managers who have access to: Review and approve employee time Manage employee working time Review and approve leave requests Display reports Agency HR Reps & Directors BEACON significantly changes the way Human Resources Representatives and Directors perform their daily duties and how the state runs its business. Agency HR Reps and Directors can: Refer to a single source for data Focus on strategic aspects of HR and other priorities BEST Shared Services (BEACON Enterprise Support Team) BEST Shared Services provides support to the BEACON community. BEST Shared Services handles the following: Provides HR, benefits and payroll administration services Responds to HR and payroll questions and processing needs Coordinates with agency HR and payroll groups to resolve escalated cases
